PorgramsCaritas help the poorest of the poor by supporting them, giving food, providing education, train people in rural areas and helping farmers to grow crops. They help these people because they want the world to be fair. That is why they do this.
They have different programs like Tjanpi Desert Weavers. The program is helping women to have some skills to assist them in their daily lives. Another program is Project Compassion. This program is not only providing money to buy food but also teaching them how to grow and access food. They also do Red Dust Healing. Red Dust Healing is connecting Indigenous and non-Indigenous cultures, help members growth and wellbeing. Caritas also have diabetes management and care program. Diabetes management and care program is to prevent diabetes, have a health plans and how to be healthy living. They also have Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation. Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation is a corporation that is run by Kinchela Boys Home to get together and re-establish their brotherhood for healing and truth telling. ValuesCaritas values are to end poverty, support the people who are injustice and those who have no dignity. Caritas values men, women and children to live in a fair world, free of poverty, have peace and with dignity.

Why we work theirThey work in Australia because of inequality. In Fiji, women have no right, limited employment, corruption, restriction and poverty. In Democratic Republic of the Congo, they always fight over land, have a lot of conflict, sexual violence and poverty. In India, a lot of people doesn’t know how to write and read and there is poverty. In Laos because it is one of the world’s poorest countries and have low health education and social services. In Indonesia because of the natural disaster like earthquakes, volcanic eruption and also the tsunami in boxing day and killed 160,000 Indonesians. In Philippines because of typhoons, cyclones, volcano activity, floods and conflicts. In Vietnam because of wars, poverty, inequality and a large amount of logging and deforestation. In Bolivia because Bolivia is one of the poorest Latin America. It has a high inequality and has low health and education. In Brazil because not everyone is treated equally. In El Salvador because of the earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and hurricane and it had a high rate of violence. In Peru because Peru has high rate of poverty and has low rate in education and health. In Samoa because not everyone is treated fairly and have a lot of natural disaster. In Vanuatu because some people does not have access to water supply and Vanuatu have a frequently disasters. In Bangladesh because of natural disasters such as monsoon season, cyclone, flooding, erosion and extreme weather events. In Mozambique because of poverty and they do not have clean safety water and food. In Cambodia have limited accessed to safe water and food.
When we helpCaritas helps the poor, brings aid when there is natural disasters like flood, earthquake, volcanic activity, global warming, cyclones, tsunamis, hurricane and typhoon. Caritas help the people when it is summer and warm. They teach the poor how to grow crops during summer. Caritas have a program called a just climate campaign. This campaign is about preventing the impact of climate change and how to protect their crops. Caritas also do fundraising, donate online and emergency appeals. They have started programs like Project Compassion, Tjanpi Desert Weavers, Red Dust Healing and Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation.
